founder/creator &

clinical supervisor

CRISTINA RENNIE

As the founder and creator of Westcoast Nature Therapies & Learning (formally Sundance Solace Society) I have always had a deep desire to be able to support people on their healing journey when the obstacles and barriers to services seem higher than possible to climb. I have worked hard to create a structure where everyone benefits from the spaces we create, especially in nature and with animals. Whether it be clients, volunteers, animals or supporters of our vision, I aim to have us come together to collaborate in creating opportunities for all.

CELINA KNELSEN

Having a passion for working alongside both horses and people, I was very drawn to an opportunity that brought both of these areas of my life together. The therapeutic benefits of incorporating both horses and nature into the work that is done alongside people continues to fascinate me every single day.

Intern Counsellor and Art Therapist

STEPHANIE

My background is in both psychology and studio art. I believe in the transformative power of making art. Making art allows us to express ourselves and tell our story in a different way. I feel that the process of creating the art itself is an integral part of the therapeutic journey. Everyone is an artist if they allow themselves to create.

We experience many thoughts, feelings, and actions in our day to day lives winding around each other and sometimes they can be difficult to untangle. Together we can make sense of your situation and learn to overcome difficulties, find meaning, and make discoveries from within. You won’t be alone on your journey because we will walk it together.  Virtual and in-person appointments are available.
